My peonies are in bloom so I collected some for our kitchen table. My bouquet is a little lopsided (the plants are a bit droopy still from all the rain we had) but I don't mind because the blossoms are beautiful and they smell wonderful too!
The smell of peonies takes me back to my childhood. It's the smell of the beginning of summer; the sun is out, the days are longer, school is ending, summer freedom is about to begin!
